Where to rent a camera, GoPro or drone in Bali
Who rents what, what they publish, and the three things to check before you hand anyone a deposit.
Almost every renter in Bali prices by WhatsApp, and most of them sit in Denpasar or Kuta. Here's who actually rents what, what they publish, and what to check before you book.
Check these three things first
- The deposit. Some shops hold your passport for the rental. Don't do it. A cash or card deposit and a photo of your ID is normal. Your passport leaving your hands is not.
- Where they are, and where they deliver. Most fleets sit in the south. Ubud is 60 to 90 minutes away by car and usually a surcharge, when delivery is offered at all.
- How old the fleet is. Marketplace listings still show GoPro HERO 4 to 7 and first-generation Insta360 cameras. Ask for the exact model and the year.
Who rents what
Prices are per day in rupiah, as published on each renter's own site or marketplace listing when we checked in September 2026. They change. Confirm before you book.

What none of them do
Nobody is based in Ubud with an English booking flow and villa delivery. Nobody puts the equipment price, the delivery fee and the deposit on the same page. And the one shop that is in Ubud runs an Indonesian-language site behind a bot check. Fine if you read Bahasa. Not much use at 10pm the night before a sunrise shoot.

We're opening in Ubud. Ready-made creator kits and single items, delivered to your villa or hotel. A refundable deposit and an ID check, never your passport. Send your dates and what you want to shoot, and we confirm availability and the final price on WhatsApp before anything is booked. Nothing is charged until you say yes.

Where can I rent a GoPro in Bali?
Pondok Lensa in Kuta publishes GoPro Hero 12 at Rp 225.000 a day. MyFuji rents GoPros through Klook and Traveloka with island-wide delivery. Dive shops in Sanur rent dive-ready GoPro 11 and 12 around Rp 500.000. Check the model year before you book.
Can I rent a drone in Bali?
Yes. Pondok Lensa lists the DJI Mini 4 Pro combo at Rp 750.000 a day and Bali Fixer lists the Mavic 3 Pro at Rp 1.900.000, with a passport held as deposit. Renting does not include permission to fly.
Is there camera rental in Ubud?
One full shop: Sewa Kamera Lensa Bali on Jl. Raya Andong in Peliatan, open 07:00 to 22:00, with an Indonesian-language site. Everyone else delivers from Denpasar or Kuta, usually with a surcharge. We are opening in Ubud with villa delivery.
Should I let a rental shop hold my passport?
No. A refundable deposit and a photo of your ID is normal. Your passport leaving your hands is not.
